Cooper’s hawk
Astur cooperii
In 2024, a comprehensive molecular phylogenetic study confirmed Accipitridae to be polyphyletic.
Although I do see some of these hawks on occasion either gliding or being chased by other birds, I was never able to get a clear enough picture. It is through some miracle that this picture was caught on my trail cam with its delay.
- Number of confirmed specimens : 1
- Number of pictures : 1
